ICP - Perkin-Elmer Plasma 3200
- Current Status: Up
The Perkin-Elmer Plasma 3200 Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy (ICP) system is equipped with two monochromators covering the spectral range of 165-785 nm with a grated ruling of 3600 lines/mm. The ICP operates on the principle of atomic emission by atoms ionized in the argon plasma. Light of specific wavelengths is emitted as electrons return to the ground state of the ionized elements, quantitatively identifying the species present. The system is capable of analyzing materials in both organic and aqueous matrices with a detection limit range of less than 1 part per million.
