Jenike Shear Cell

The Jenike Shear Cell tester is a direct shear apparatus capable of measuring the unconfined strength, internal friction angle, effective internal angle of friction, and wall friction angle as functions of consolidation or solid contact pressures. This tester provides cohesive property measurements that can be used to determine the arching and rathole tendencies in process equipment, as well as other information useful for bin design purposes and basic material characterization of bulk material with particle sizes less than 1/4-inch.
