Diashape Image Analysis System

The Diashape, Powdershape and Fibreshape Image analysis system by IST (Innovative Sintering Technologies) is a software system designed for use with a high resolution optical scanning to measure and quantify aspects of shape, color and uniformity of particulate systems. IST uses the Carl Zeiss Imaging kernel to quantify parameters for the quality control of diamond abrasives (Diashape), general purpose powders (Powdershape), textiles and other high aspect systems (Fibershape). The software is optimized for images obtained by any off-the-shelf high resolution optical scanner thus eliminating the need for expensive customized image capture systems. Images in any standard format may be imported and analyzed. The software provides particle sizing with special features for diamond qualification, mesh sizes, diamond qualities, inclusion analysis, size, shape, optical properties (transparency, clarity), characterization of powders > 5 m in size, and measurement of fibre thickness and fibre length, (fibre thickness > 5 m).
